DISCOVER UMT 2026 Assalammualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera | KUALA NERUS, 28 June 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) recently hosted a two-day academic exhibition from
Assalamualaikum and Good Day.
UMT has achieved a historic milestone by rising to the 701–710 band globally in the QS World University Rankings 2027, improving from the 801–850 band in the previous year.
This achievement places UMT among the top 710 universities in the world out of more than 8,800 universities evaluated by QS.
This success is supported by UMT’s strong performance in several key indicators:
🔹 #7 in Malaysia for Citations per Faculty, with a citation index of 159.5, nearly three times higher than the global median
🔹 #9 in Malaysia for Sustainability, in line with UMT’s role as a university focused on marine, aquatic, and sustainability
🔹 #10 in Malaysia for International Research Network, reflecting the strength of UMT’s international research collaborations.
