KUALA NERUS, 4 June 2026 – The Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences (FSPA), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) received a visit from Visiting Professor, Prof. Dr. Chia-Hui Wang from National Taiwan Ocean University from 2 to 5 June 2026. This visit aims to strengthen academic, research and knowledge sharing cooperation between the two institutions.
Among the main contents during the visit was a public lecture titled “Spawning Sites, Spatial Distribution and Early Life History Variations Related to ENSO of Three Mullet Species in Taiwan”. This lecture discusses the breeding sites, spatial distribution and influence of the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon on the early life stages of three mullet species in Taiwan.
FSPA would like to record its highest appreciation and gratitude to Prof. Dr. Chia-Hui Wang for his willingness to share his expertise, research experience and scientific insights, which are very beneficial to UMT academics and students. It is hoped that this visit will be a catalyst for closer strategic cooperation in the future to advance the field of fisheries science and the sustainability of marine resources.
